COLUMBIA Pouring Adventure II Jacket

This jacket certainly lives up to its name and keeps you completely dry, with its Omni-Tech waterproof and breathable technology. With sealed seams, I found it a little hot when running so it would be a perfect jacket for hikes, dog walks and post-run protection. It packs into its own pocket and has three extra zipped pockets. The hood is great; you can wear it over a hat, and it can be secured with a high zip and toggles. I’m 5’8 and found the length of the back was long so it may not suit shorter runners.
MONTANE Composite Hooded Down Jacket

The breathable fabric on the arms means you can wear this on cold runs and not feel like you are a boil-in-thebag supper.
It’s had a lot of use during colder evening sessions when I’ve needed more warmth and protection for my core. The sizing comes up well, the stretch of the fabric is brilliant, storage is covered, and you can wear a big bobble hat under the hood for when the frost comes. The hood isn’t adjustable, but the high neck and zip (up to the tip of your nose) secures it well. Yet again, Montane provides superior protection for your winter runs.
