When you’re used to wrinkled noses of disgust when you return from a run, the R5 Infinium is worth its weight in gold for my seven-year old’s feedback: “You look like a ninja!” I’ll take that, thanks. Other non-ninja-esque powers include a smattering of Gore-Tex front and back to keep the worst off, as well as a really good close fit and softer panels down the inside arms, so virtually no irritating rustling, and it moves with you beautifully. The arms are a great length for us longer people. This is a windproof mid layer as opposed to a shell, but it coped admirably with light showers and sweaty running. While clearly an investment piece, the quality is outstanding so this will be with you for a very long time indeed.
