start
Starting at Queen’s Avenue, this is a favourite lunchtime run, getting me away from the desk, the traffic and most other runners. This is a short route to start with but it comes with longer options for the more adventurous-minded.
Part 1
Turn left under the bridge onto the canal. This is usually a hard-packed mud trail that follows the canal. Stay on the path where you will soon cross a small quiet road. (You can also go under the bridge, so you remain on the canal path.) Once over/under the road you will see some fishing lakes down the bank on the left. This is where the café is, should you wish to start and finish here.
