Keri Wallace, Girls on Hills
Keri is one part of the female RDs out there female-only guiding company Girls on Hills. She is empowering women with the confidence and skills they need to be independent in the mountains. However, they have found women are also using trail running as a tool for managing mental health issues and life crises.
What does running mean to you?
To me running means health, well-being, challenge and exploration.
What barriers do you find are stopping women getting into the hills?
Most of them are mental barriers, for example concerns about getting lost, pace, feeling nervous, descending or technical terrain and also not knowing how to find other women to run and share adventures with.
