In my novel, the main character is attacked in her home by someone who has been threatening her and attacks her.
She manages to fight him off and in the struggle, he dies.
In these circumstances, how would my character be treated at the station? In other words, would she be treated as a suspect, required to surrender her clothes and held in a cell?
