NIGERIA’S GREEN Africa Airways has gone one step closer to launching operations after the start-up accepted its first aircraft.
A pair of eight-year-old, 70-seat ATR 72-600 turboprops, 5N-GAE (c/n 1076) and 5N-GAA (c/n 1057), arrived at the fledging firm’s Lagos/Murtala Muhammed Airport on April 23 and May 14 respectively, while a third, set to be registered as 5N-GAD, is due to follow imminently. The trio of Franco-Italian-built examples are on lease from ACIA Aero Leasing.
