London/Stansted-based Titan Airways has launched a Maltese subsidiary – Titan Airways Malta – after receiving an Air Operator Certificate for the offshoot. A one-class, 220-seat Airbus A321ceo – 9H-ZTA (c/n 3749), the former G-POWV – was placed with the company in July and has been joined by two A321P2Fs – G-POWY (c/n 1238) has been reregistered 9H-ZTB while the former G-NIKO (c/n 1250) is expected to be allocated 9H-ZTC. The wet lease specialist has plans to add two further Elbe Flugzeugwerk-converted A321P2Fs to its Luqa, Malta-based fleet during 2022.
