TIME FOR TENCH
Dave Coster says, a pleasant way of fishing for tench at short range is just down the nearside ledge, an area that these fish often patrol. You can do this with
running line float tackle. Use a small waggler with a long, sensitive antenna, and make sure that your last dropper or tell-tale shot is just resting on the bottom, with your hook bait several inches away. If you dot the float down, bites will mostly show up as lifts, hence the long antenna, which allows you to read what’s going on better.
