RECORD CARP CHAOS
A monster 83 lb 4 oz Kent carp was caught last week, but can’t be eligible for an official British record – or indeed a prestigious Fish Of The Week T-shirt – as it was either carrying 30 lb of spawn or water or a combination of the two. But potential record carp Captain Jack (pictured above) was caught again last week by Dave Smedley, at a slightly down weight of 67 lb 4 oz. It's also seen on this week's Angler's Mail front cover.
