IT IS A measure of the quality of last weekend’s Müller Anniversary Games that some were describing it as perhaps the greatest grand prix athletics meeting ever held in London.
Such a status is hard to measure, but certainly it is right up there among the best after a world record in the 100m hurdles from Kendra Harrison of the United States and British records in 1500m courtesy of Laura Muir and the women’s 4x100m.

Mo Farah was in imperious form when winning the 5000m in a world-leading time and,
Usain Bolt brought the first day’s programme to a great end with a 200m victory that shows he’s on course to defend his titles in Rio. The climax of day two saw the same as Mo Farah brought the crowd to its feet with a stirring 5000m win.
