Amidst a season of cultural exhibitions in Los Angeles in the coming months, a highlight will undoubtedly be Robert Mapplethorpe – a major presentation of the iconic artist’s photography. Split between the J. Paul Getty Museum and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the joint retrospective will open in March 2016 at both venues, before going on an international tour, taking in cities like Montreal and Sydney, though L.A. is the only place in the United States where art fans can see the entire exhibit.
