JOY RIDE
In the past five years, NELLY FURTADO has learnt to make pottery and sew. But finally she’s back making great music
NELLY FURTADO
LET’S BE HONEST, Maneater was a personal anthem for many of us on nights out during the Noughties.
When the Nelly Furtado Timbal and produced track rocketed into the charts in 2006, it propelled a self-confessed hippy girl, with a handful of folksy hits, to superstardom and collaborations with the likes of Justin Timberlake. Eleven years have passed since then and the singer is back with a new album and a renewed focus, but has she said goodbye to her inner hippy? To quote Kim Woodburn: not on your Nelly!
