I’m going to let this have an organic approach by which I mean I’ve not looked you up on Wikipedia. Good for you! It’s not because I didn’t do my research! It’s more of a theoretical approach to how I want to interview you.

Hello reader! I’m going to open with a confession. When I was asked to interview Zoe Lyons by the editor of the publication currently nestled in your little mitts (or maybe on your tablet or your phone or perhaps you’re reading it over someone’s shoulder on the bus, I’m trying to be as inclusive as I can) I was hesitant. I’ve many strings to my bow; as an actress, cabaret artiste, comedienne, poet, author and even former barmaid.

Ruthless investigative journalism, however, has never really enticed me before. I gave it some thought, and decided: why not? Why not unleash my inner Lois Lane if it meant I got to have a lovely chat with the award-winning, as seen on television, Brighton-based funny woman in one of my favourite drinking haunts, London’s Retro Bar? It all sounded like a jolly afternoon over a few gin and tonics, so I packed my pen and pad with the intention of getting to know Ms Lyons a bit better. Fun fact: she isn’t even a real lion!
