Making herstory as the winner of All Stars 2, Alaska Thunderfuck 5000 continues to, ahem, slay down the foundations of her legacy. The Drag Race fave has penned a memoir – My Name’s Yours, What’s Alaska? (Chronicle Books, out 9 November) – and will soon (death)drop her fourth studio album, Red 4 Filth. Just don’t ask Alaska, aka Justin Honard, 36, where their alter ego’s name came from. “I don’t hate it [the question], I just feel like a Lil’ Poundcake doll,” she sighs playfully. “You press me: I’m named after marijuana; there was a strain called Alaska Thunderfuck; I heard the name, I was stoned, I thought it was cool and I stole it!”
