GOING GAGA FOR GUCCI
When the trailer for House of Gucci landed, we swooned over Adam Driver and Lady Gaga in their retro ’70s fashion trotting around Italy. With excitement for Ridley Scott’s period piece growing, tailormade luxury travel company Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) have everything for the Italy-bound globetrotter. A&K can organise stays at Villa Balbiano on Lake Como, which features heavily in the movie, or Villa d’Este (pictured), where the cast stayed during filming. Or venture south to Florence, where, in 1921, Guccio Gucci opened his own shop selling leather goods. In 2011, on the brand’s 90th anniversary, the Gucci Museum opened, which was recently rebranded Gucci Garden. As well as the museum, it now includes a shop, exhibition rooms and the 50-seat Gucci Osteria restaurant helmed by three-Michelin-starred chef Massimo Bottura.
