Matt Damon, Adam Driver, Jodie Comer, Ben Affleck You wait years for a meaty 14thcentury epic, and then, like the proverbial London buses, two come along at once. Ridley Scott’s film is by far the more conventional, but this story of two knights battling over the honour of an assaulted woman is rewarding, while smuggling some less expected Me Too-era gender politics into the mix. Let’s just agree to never speak of Matt Damon’s medieval mullet again. 15 October
