Number of homeless applications decreases

THE NUMBER of homeless applications received by Argyll and Bute Council has fallen by 15 per cent over the past five years.

The council’s policy lead for housing, Councillor Robin Currie, said: ‘There are now a wider range of housing options for people living in Argyll and Bute. The council provides people with advice at an early stage which helps us address any concerns that could have caused more significant problems at a later date if they had been left.’
