A meeting in Lochgilphead will hear the voice of patients is being ‘ignored’ as health chiefs review public engagement on health and social care services.
As reported in last week’s edition of the Argyllshire Advertiser, concerns arose aTher Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) withdrew support and participation from Mid Argyll Health and Care Forum.
Members of the forum – designed to be made up of members of the public, third sector representatives and health professionals – expressed anger that, in their view, public engagement was being ignored. A HSCP spokesman said: ‘The Health and Social Care Partnership is extremely grateful for the commitment and the enthusiasm our hard-working community representatives have for improving health and social care in Argyll and Bute and we would encourage them to feed back any issues they have locally.’
