Bass Player UK Magazine 92 June 2013 Back Issue

English 59 Reviews   •  English   •   Music (Other)
We have fun here at the Bass Guitar magazine command bunker, but we take our responsibilities seriously too. For example, BGM is the UK’s only print bass magazine, a situation that publications devoted to instruments such as guitars and drums don’t share. We know our job is to cover as much of the bass world as we can to the best of our abilities, which is why you’ll see in this new issue the great Larry Graham, one of the godfathers of bass guitar, rubbing shoulders with new bass players from every corner of the music world.
The same goes for our gear coverage: within the space of these 92 pages you’ll find old, new, expensive, affordable, traditional and experimental bass equipment. There’s no other way to do it, and we make a point of listening to you, the reader, as we plan the content of each month’s magazine. You wanted a wider range of abilities covered in our tuition section, for instance. Well, take a look at our redesigned columns. We’ve refined our eight columns to cover beginner, intermediate and advanced players, with each of those levels split into theory and technique. Add to this our upright bass and tone emulation columns and we reckon that there’s no finer tuition experience in print. We’ll make you a better bass player, you mark our words…

Always a good read

Really entertaining view of guitar Reviewed Thursday, 11 July 2019

Preferred the old reader

Although the new version has a few extra goodies like a side menu with all articles and a nicer layout, the zoom isn't as good as the old reader. With my phone horizontal the maximum zoom still has tiny lettering. It would be no good to someone who is short sighted. Reviewed Saturday, 24 November 2012
