THE LITTLE HIMALAYAN RAILWAY
A vertical slice of hill railway ‘pizza’ – Giles Perkins was inspired to model the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway and captured its essence in an ingenious OO9 layout.

A TURKISH GRAIN SILO
A typical Turkish lineside scene – Arda Tirmas created a realistic HO diorama from careful observation of the real thing augmented by research on line.

NEUSTADT, MITTELWALD, and HOCHBERG – part 4
Alan Shepherd brings us up to date with developments on his German N layout, featured in the May 2017 edition.

A JIG FOR WINDOWS
Gilbert Gribi adopted an ingenious approach to achieve consistency when ‘mass production’ was required.

MEXICO IN 1978
On the Yucatán peninsula – Peter Dale presents more of the slides which document his travels for work to places mostly off the tourist trail at the time.

First steps in layout building – Rick Pullin used lockdown to start a table-top layout which soon grew an extension.

Continental Modeller

I model in the US. It is extremely interesting to see how Europeans model their trains compared to how we model ours. The model railroads chosen are always stunning examples of compactness and high levels of detailing. Reviewed 25 January 2021
