GT Porsche  |  December 2016
For the price of your average family car you could be driving either of the Porsches on this month’s cover. The virtues of the 997 are rather well known, but in the 981 Cayman, now trading for around the same price, might the much-revered 911 have met its match? Choosing between these two Porsches, both available at around the £35,000 price point, is not an easy task, but in this issue we’ve brought them together in an attempt to do just that.
We’ve also whipped the dust sheets off some rare Porsche prototypes that never saw production, driven a lovely 911 SC fettled by the talented folk at Ninemeister, taken a close look at a 924 fully restored by Porsche Tonbridge, taken a 959 for a spin and driven a stunning period 911 RSR racer on track.
Of course there’s plenty more to get your teeth into as well, including our regular reports on running Porsches in the real world, analysis of the current Porsche market place, and all the latest news and new products which are sure to interest any genuine Porsche fan.
