TURKINGTON TAKES CONTROL
Reigning champion dominates Snetterton as VW squad sets the BTCC pace. Colin Turkington said he was making progress with his Team BMR
Volkswagen during the last event at Croft in June. At Snetterton, he showed just how much progress he’s made. The reigning champion dominated the opening two races from pole and was able to overshadow his team-mate Jason Plato, who had come in to the meeting with more ballast and a plan to collect points. Plato now heads the standings, but the gap between the two is shrinking. Whatever Plato’s plans were, Turkington had just one simple aim: win and he did just that.
