Strontian school is a lesson in community
Tuesday was a momentous day for Strontian, with the primary school children finally able to move into their new school, which was built and is owned by the community. Headteacher Pamela Hill made a special occasion out of locking up the old school to give the youngsters the chance to say goodbye and then, with piper Iain Mitchie leading the way, the 28 children and staff made their way to the new school. there Ardnamurchan High School pupils formed a special guard of honour, clapping in the youngsters heading for their first day in the new classrooms.
