THE SNP were on a roll last Thursday with voters in Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch putting their confidence in Kate Forbes as their MSP. She gained 17,362 votes, giving her a majority of 9,043.
The SNP’s share of the vote rose by 1.4 per cent.
Scottish Liberal Democrat candidate Angela MacLean came second, receiving 8,319 votes.
