THE Rockfield Centre in Oban held its second AGM on Thursday, when a packed meeting heard a presentation of the annual report and year overview from chairman Gordon McNab.
The presentation outlined the progress the board and volunteers are making in turning the former school into a busy creative hub, and the difference the centre is bringing to people’s lives.
It has been a busy year. Under its history and heritage theme a project, financed by the Heritage Lottery Fund and entitled Memories Matter, has seen new volunteers establishing an active research and archiving group, creating a number of oral recordings of local reminiscences, an exhibition, A Postwar Childhood, plus a heritage map and a successful season of guided walks.
