Practical Reptile Keeping Magazine No.50 Day Gecko Back Issue

Only $6.99
If you were puzzled by our main cover photograph this month,
let me promise you that Rob, our devoted art editor, hasn’t
been running amok with a palette of Photoshop colours!
This is actually Mr. Grey, a bearded dragon bred by Monkfi eld Nutrition at Royston in
Hertfordshire, and that really is how he looks - stunning, in a word! He is also the only one of his
kind. You can see more photos on page 4. It will obviously be some time in the future though, before
beardies like Mr Grey become widely available.
Perhaps by the time Practical Reptile Keeping celebrates its centenary? This is now our 50th issue,
and I’d like to thank all our contributors and advertisers, not to mention you, the reader, for your
support. Don’t forget that if you’ve got any ideas or thoughts as to what you’d like to see in the
magazine in the future, please email me direct on the address at the bottom of this column.
It’s been great that so many people have wanted to take part in our ProRep photo competition
that we’ve been running over the past year. Even if you weren’t one of the lucky monthly winners, I
trust you’ve enjoyed seeing such a varied range of photos of reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates,
and hopefully, yours may have made it into print.
Even if you weren’t a winner previously however, now is your chance to be one, and scoop a
ProRep voucher! You can fi nd full details on our centre pages about how to take part and vote online
for your favourite out of our monthly winners. ProRep, well-known for their wide range of practical
reptile products, will be giving a prize voucher not just to the overall winning photographer, but also
to a lucky voter as well. And don’t worry, as we will be continuing to award a monthly prize for the
best photo, so please keep sending them to us. David Alderton
