Engine swaps into old Fords is nothing new and has been happening for donkey years. Mostly with other Ford badged engines and then quite a few clever people decided it would be good to add an engine from other
manufacturers. The purists may not like this but more often than not it’s normally done this way for a cheaper and more cost effective route to a certain power goal. However there was one car which upset more and that was this 100e built by Rob Butler. He took an angle grinder to a ‘61 Pop shell and dropped it onto the bottom half of a VW Beetle. Like it or not, it was certainly different. And low.
