Explore Canada’s North

We have two exciting destinations featured in this issue that will not only get you thinking about RV travel but make you decide where to go this spring and summer.

Weekend trips are enjoyable, but we also like to encourage travelling further. By this we mean planning a week or two - and in some cases - even longer to discover Canada’s true north.

Starting on page 14, we take you to the Northwest Territories and the Great Slave Route, which follows part of the southern shore of Great Slave Lake, the second-deepest lake in Canada and the fifth-largest in North America. While remote, you’ll benefit from the well-managed private and territory campgrounds, the number of services in the communities, and the many attractions that illustrate its insightful past. It’s a great starting point to see ‘the true north’ and will entice you to further explore its many parks and endless landscapes.

We are also proud to highlight Missinaibi Provincial Park, located about five hours north of Sault Ste. Marie in Northern Ontario. Part of The Chapleau Crown Game Preserve, the largest preserve of its kind in the world, the park is where you can observe wildlife, enjoy excellent fishing and take on some paddle sports - all easily accessible from your campsite.

We’ll save all of the finer details that are found in the pages that follow, but visiting Canada’s north just may be the highlight of your season. It can provide memories of a lifetime and a chance to appreciate the RV lifestyle to the fullest extent.
