Q I’ve signed up for two half marathons that will now be three weeks apart. Do you have any advice for training for two events? I’d love to run strongly in both and not use the first as a warm-up for the second, but I’m not sure how sensible that is!
A Running a second half marathon three weeks aft er your first is certainly doable. The general guideline for recovery is one rest day or easy running/recovery day for every mile raced, so here this means two weeks of recovery running with no speedwork, hard runs or racing.
