Life is different. Aa few months ago none of us had any idea what we’d be going through, and what we were capable of – but look at us now. We have all been stronger than we ever thought possible. And we have all discovered just how precious our mental health is. We need to be mindful of that, and take the time to be kind to ourselves, and to find balance when the world around us feels uncertain. This issue, we look at ways in which we can prioritise ourselves and our mental health with some simple self-care tips. While it’s important we celebrate our community, it is equally important that we recognise our own heroism and ensure that we nurture ourselves so that we can continue as strong and as happy as ever. Two more things will help us emerge on the other side strong and happy: firstly, we can run. We can get out there in the sunshine, we can wave to strangers and we can strengthen our bodies and minds. We’ve got a training plan this issue to take you from beginner to 10K, a great workout you can do indoors to prevent injury no matter what distances you’re smashing out there, and all the advice and inspiration you need to lace up and get out there. The second thing we can do is we can support each other. Through whatever channel you can do this, cheer on the women you know: we’re all finding it tough, and we all desperately need support. Together we can achieve miracles: we can be strong, we can be healthy and we can be resilient. Together we are a community.
