Words Louise Pyne
As winter starts to creep in, the frosty temperatures and grey skies can put a dampener on training. But there’s plenty to love about autumn, from the dazzling display of colours that adorn the trees to the fresh scent of the air after a heavy spell of rainfall. Being more aware of your surroundings is actually a brilliant way to get more out of training sessions. Paying attention to the present moment not only helps to take a load off our shoulders when we’re running, but it enables us to concentrate more and appreciate the capabilities of our body, and connect with the beauty of the world we are immersed in.
