Zambian Farmer Magazine March 2016 Back Issue

English 0 Reviews   •  English   •   Trade & Professional (Agricultural)
Although nearly 15% of the dairy herd suffers from infertility problems, such problems are the most neglected fact in almost every dairy herd. The farmer will milk the cow as long as she milks and once it stops milking then he thinks of getting her pregnant. She will be treated by all means of traditional methods and if she does not respond she will be killed or sold for slaughter. About 15% of such cases, if sold for slaughter, are a great economical loss not only to the farmer but also to the country as a whole. What farmers don’t realize is that most of the infertility cases can easily be rectified. Find out how in this edition.
