I wonder what people who know and care nothing about cars think when they see an Ariel Atom pass by. Especially an Atom 4R, the latest incarnation of the Somerset firm’s road-and trackfocused lightweight sports car.
Ariel only makes a few dozen Atoms per year, so does its fame register with those who live outside motordom and outside the larger Crewkerne area? Do they think somebody has stuck wings on a go-kart?
