Now that you’ve found the perfect plot of land, you need to determine whether it’s really a viable building opportunity. Here’s a quick guide to what to look out for
SITE SUITABILITY
❏ Is the plot large enough for the size and style of house you want?
❏ Are local properties in tune with the kind of design you want?
❏ Could any adjoining or nearby uses cause a nuisance (like a pub)?
❏ What’s the orientation like?
❏ Does the site slope?
❏ Could this necessitate costly excavation or a split-level house?
❏ Will vehicle access be too steep?
