UK industry leading on hydrogen future
The Heating and Hotwater Industry Council (HHIC) has written to the prime minister to confirm that UK boiler manufacturers will support future legislation mandating that new domestic boilers be hydrogen-ready from 2025, in a bid to meet carbon Net Zero targets. Hydrogen-ready boilers are seen as a non-disruptive means of decarbonising homes as they don’t require extensive – and expensive – remedial works, like ripping out pipes and boilers.
