A COLLABORATION between private home owners, the local housing association and Argyll and Bute Council is ensuring that some of Inveraray’s A-listed buildings are being repaired for future generations under a £2 million Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme (CARS).
Residents and visitors have seen parts of the town under scaffolding and tarpaulin for some weeks as five priority building projects – Arkland, Relief Land, the old Temperance Hotel, Chamberlain’s House and the Town House – have work done under Inveraray CARS.
Most of these buildings are a mixture of private flats and apartments owned by Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA).
