Limmy crosses top UA Oban sale

A busy ringside at an earlier Oban sale.

UNITED Auctions held its annual May sale of all classes cattle and sheep at Oban Livestock Centre on Tuesday May 15.

A much increased entry on the year saw 217 head of cattle sold and 590 sheep, which attracted a large following of buyers, resulting in a satisfactory day’s trading for all sellers. Bullocks sold to an average of 254.15 pence per kilo or £709.38 per head while heifers levelled out at 221.96 pence per kilo or £661.55.
