Active Schools’ Gillian Walker encourages others to ‘share your sport’

ACTIVE Schools, the partnership between local government and sportscotland, is on the look out for more volunteers to become part of one of the most innovative movements within primary and secondary pupils lives in decades.

Keeping active has long been the story for people who are older - but the campaign to keep our youngsters seeking out sport as a past time has really taken hold in Oban after a number of years of having an area co-ordinator for the Active Schools programme.

Gillian Walker, Oban, Lorn and the Isles Active Schools co-ordinator said the part of her job she likes the most is working with different people who are keen to share their sport with others.
