Fake ‘printer help’ in Google results
What’s the threat?
Scammers have paid Google for sponsored results for the searches ‘HP printer help’ and ‘Canon printer help’. The scam was spotted by Malwarebytes, which posted a screenshot showing four fake results ( 1 in our screenshot) for the made-up companies Megadrive Solutions, Geeks Pro Software Prints, Select Easy 123 Print and Print Care Tech. All of these results are above the genuine URL for HP 2 .
