WORSENING congestion on the A82 through Fort William has been discussed at a recent Highland Council business meeting.
It was said that ‘strong concerns were expressed about the considerable queues of trafic building on the A82 to the north of the town, sometimes reaching to Torlundy’ during the meeting on August 8.
A number of possible reasons for the queues were considered, including a seasonal increase in trafic, impact of new roundabout at Inverlochy and delays being caused by HGVs at Nevis Bridge.
