FIVE TIME
FIVE
★★
For about half an hour in 1999, Five (or 5ive, as they used to have it) looked like they could fill the post-Take That boyband void. However, the nation disappointingly settled on the saccharine Westlife instead of the comparatively edgy funk of these East 17-alikes. At least Keep On Movin’ remains a certified banger and the pre-X Factor Simon Cowell protégés had excellent studio help. Mostly produced by Biff Stannard, the likes of Stargate, Max Martin and The Grid’s Richard Norris also featured in Five’s original credits.
