HOWARD JONES
Praise as a composer had wrongly eluded Howard Jones thus far as the snorts about orange spiky hair and emulsioned mime artists dominated his career.
His third LP, released in 1986, was largely greeted with warmth, though, and made the Top 10. There is some real joy in it, as Afrodiziak’s vibrant presence raises the bar.
