Veterans of noughties power-pop, McFly have emerged from a DeLorean holding aloft an album jammed with mindless arena anthems. Lead-off single Where Did All the Guitars Go bemoans the lack of solos in modern pop, kicking off the reel of call-and-response chanting – ‘Rock’n’ roll is good for the soul’ – alongside the ‘Amen’s in the hairmetal-drenched God Of Rock And Roll.
