Why can’t I reinstall classic Outlook?

I can’t reinstall the classic version of Outlook, despite following Microsoft’s instructions (www.snipca.com/54211) as described in Issue 706 (page 6). The first download did nothing. The second showed the message ‘Mantenha-se online enquanto a sua aplicacao e tranferida’. What am I doing wrong?

A As we noted in Issue 708’s Reader Support, the installer for Microsoft’s classic Outlook is confusing, whether you download it or opt to ‘Install from Store’. One quirk of the Microsoft Store version is that some elements of the installer are in Portuguese. A rough translation of the message you’re seeing is “stay online while your application is installed. The process will complete shortly.”
