Google is ditching all country-specific domain names for its search home page. It means if you type www.google.co.ukinto your browser bar you’ll soon be redirected to www.google.com ( 1 in our screenshot).
These web addresses are called country code top-level domain names (ccTLD). The change will apply for all country-specific codes from www.google.co.acfor Ascension Island to www. google.co.zwfor Zimbabwe.
