Can I undo OneDrive activation on my laptop?
PROBLEM OF THE FORTNIGHT
Q I recently bought a new Windows 11 laptop. Foolishly, I dived straight in and activated OneDrive. However, with more than 5GB of data to sync, this seemed to paralyse the service. I’m now frequently reminded that I have exceeded my allocation. Is there any way I can release this laptop from OneDrive’s clutches and start again?
If so, I would use OneDrive only for selected folders and documents, saving everything else to an external hard drive. I know I should have been more cautious and created system restore points so I could undo my actions. I hope you can help me out of this mess.
