What’s a simpler junk remover than BleachBit?
Q I’ve been a long-time user of BleachBit (www. bleachbit.org), but I’m finding it harder to use. It still removes junk when I set it to, but it seems to have added so many settings that I don’t need. Is there a simpler alternative?

A We agree that BleachBit’s settings can appear daunting, and may do more harm than good if you change, remove or disable something you shouldn’t. A far simpler alternative is Wintoys, which you can download for free from the Microsoft Store (www. snipca.com/55189). It has a beautifully simple design that’s similar to Windows itself.
