Noiiz Dave Rose
How did you get into software development?
DR “I studied music tech at university and I set up an online mastering studio from my bedroom, then eventually hired a small space and built a studio there. I launched Samplephonics (a sample pack label), which grew from strength to strength. We made great sample packs, but we wanted to do something a bit different so we started developing Noiiz – a sounds subscription platform and cloud-connected plugin. We saw an opportunity to reduce the cost of buying sounds and the subscription model proved successful in doing that – why sell a few hundred samples for £35, when we could offer our entire library for a monthly or yearly fee? It really was a win win for us as well as our customers.”
What are the benefits for users of having a Noiiz subscription?
DR “The thing that I personally love about it is the endless stream of content that’s there whenever you need it. You don’t have to worry about making purchase decisions, just download as much or as little as you need and it’s nice knowing that if you hit writers block, there’s a whole library of inspiration you can tap into.
The integration with the Connect plugin is also a game changer – being able to audition sounds and ideas right in the context of your project really does speed things up and allow you to focus much more on how things sound there and then. There’s always time for tweaking later, but for getting ideas out of your head and turning them into something you can hear, not much comes close to the combination of Noiiz and Connect. At least in my (somewhat biased!) opinion anyway.”
