Stutter and Glitch
Based on some classic sampling techniques, Robbie’s Stutter and Glitch samples add oodles of character
“When tremolo was not enough, the world of digital sampling brought a whole new sonic palette including the malfunctioning-onpurpose, chopped-up manglings that can be found in many, often unrelated, genres. From loping lo-fi repetitions to full on Aphex/ Squarepusher slice ’n’ dice, this sample pack makes use of a variety of stutter and glitching effects to produce a set of loops to adorn tracks, whether treated further, tucked behind beats or rammed right up front. Across 12 tempos these loops started life as acoustic drums, drum machines, monosynths, pads, acoustic/ electronic pianos, and string sections. On slice ’n’ dice duties were iZotope and BT’s classic Stutter Edit, and the excellent ShaperBox 3 from Cableguys – this did the most work!”
