STITCH-A-LONG
LITTLE LIBRARY PART 1
Welcome to our new Stitch-A-Long! Designer Amanda Butler has created an amazing Library SAL – each month we will add another book to our Library shelves, which could be a childhood favourite or bestselling classic, and we hope you will find your favourite amongst them.
LITTLE LIBRARY SAL
The first book to appear on your library shelf is The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. It was serialised in The American Magazine, and then published in book form in 1911. Set in England, it’s seen as a classic of English children’s literature. Start stitching the top left corner of The Secret Garden, 17.5cm (7in) down from the top-left corner of the fabric, and 10cm (4in) in from the left. This leaves enough room above, to add the flat books at a later date. The numbers across the top and down the left-hand side of the chart will show where you are on the complete design, and will change as you work from left to right and then down the chart over the coming months.
